Dollymount have a slim chance of making the final of shield, but we have to win our final 2 shield games.and the other teams draw or just take points off each and share them around. All the teams are on equal footing and any team can beat any team at any time, so as I say, we still have a chance if results go our way.

THE STAR -- DOLLYMOUNT 2V1 AGP

William 65mins for Craig. Jason upfront, William left mid, Ronan to right.

James, Vinny, Steve, Vinicius. not used.

Dollymount were the stronger team in the first half and made the better chances but it ended 0-0 at half time.

The 2nd half started with end to end football. Alan Kelly settled  the home side with a goal after 15 mins with the assist from Craig Henry. 25 minutes in, Jason Colton broke down the left and rifled the ball into the roof of the net from 15 yards.

AGP fought to get back into the match and got a goal for their efforts when Dollymount keeper Rory Lynch pulled off a fine save, only for the ball to be parried of defender Fionn Daly and into the net.




The shield is been run as 2 mini leagues of 6 teams., playing each team once.
The top six teams and lower six teams which is Dollymount's group.
This is the first match of Dollymount's 5 games.
