Take it or Leave it got their first win of the season as they faced fellow strugglers The 10th House. Both sides were rooted to the bottom of the table without a win before this game but a fantastic performance from Take it or Leave it ensured they picked up the 3 points with an 11-4 win. Colin O'Brien picked up four goals for the winning side along with Craig Long, Shane Keeling, and Gary Keeling also chipping in with some valuable goals. Take it or Leave it were like Brazil at times with some silky skills on show and some sublime finishes. It is hard to believe they are not further up the table after this showing. They will be looking to push on and try pick up another win next week!
League leaders Fairview had a narrow victory over Real Clunge. Fairview continued their winning streak with a 4-2 win but it wasnt easy for them. This was a very hard earned win and Clunge put it up to them for large parts of the game. They will feel a little unlucky not to come away with anything from the game. Two red cards for Clunge didnt help their case at all and maybe they let their frustrations get the better of them.
Hobos with a Shotstopper and Hardly Athletic played out a pretty dull affair after this one ended 0-0. It was certainly a very close game with nothing between the two sides. Both sides had tight defences but didnt have the killer instinct upfront to make the difference. Not a great spectactle for the spectactors but both sides will be happy enough with a point.
The Liquidators had a relatively comfortable win over Real UPC winning 4-0. UPC couldnt break down the Liquidators defence and if you dont score you dont stand a chance. The Liquidators took their chances well and never really looked like they would lose this one. They were always in control and a great team effort ensured the 3 points were in the bag.
The wheels have started to come off for Dollymount as they continue their poor run of form. They started the league very well but it started to go wrong for them and another loss this week to Dublin Devils didnt help their cause as they slip down the table. Final score was 4-1. Glen Ryan didnt help his team's cause by getting sent off for Dollymount.
Fairview continue to lead the title race but the Liquidators are still hot on their heels!
