Physio Owen

As you see from email below Owen as offered his services as Physio.
There's a link to his site ABOVE.

On a separate note, I recently opened up a physio practice in Dublin 8 www.slaintephysio.com after 5 years experience in Ireland and Oz. If any of the lads want to get injuries checked out I will be happy to see them. Cost for the lads would be 10 euro (normal fee is 50) which goes to clinic overheads, insurance and chartered physio membership fees. If you refer anybody else, cost is 25 euro for them (50% off).

In general, I would prefer not to assess people at training/matches as it not the best environment for doing a thorough assessment.

See you tomorrow.

Regards,

Owen

Vinny Fallon's Write -up, email, etc.
All

A great performance by dollymount was had on saturday, With only 9 men vs 11 we put up quite a desplay of football at times, Bear in mind that with 3 of the 9 players having not played a full game in some time, Myself, Neil Tobin on his debute and steve oconnor, and a few players carrying injuries, The score line did not reflect the performance, with it been 2.0 at half time, and off side goal and hand ball, ( The ref was blind ) and an unfortunate own goal, that makes the score line 4.0 again ill go back to the 9 men vs 11. great work by you all,

A few things to note, a great positiveness in the way we played and backed each other up, No arguing or giving out and backing eachother up, Its somthing that we have had missing for awhile, But what we need are players letting Steve know if they are deffinitly turning up or not, No one is a mind reader, If you say you might be able to turn up and cant then just say so one way or the other so we know for deffinitly what the story is with players and positions, We could of given a walkover the weekend, but on the premis we had 11 turning up we didnt, The same goes for training, It makes it easier to plan training sesions etc.

Just on the money side of things, We have a few bills that need to be paid ASAP, So start getting money in, A few of you have been paying a €5er here and there and a €20 here and there and thats great, before you know it youve paid of the €100 so keep doing that.

Regards

Vinny

The score line flattered Glasnaoin. Dollymount were well in the game through out and had 3 or 4 goal scoring chances, with the Glasnaoin keeper pulling off some fine saves, notably from free kicks from Kellier and Quinner. Fionn headed one just over the bar. But after about 30minutes, a long ball over the Dollymount defence with 3 Glasnaoin players 5 metres offside, the first shot was well blocked by James in goal, but the rebound was blasted home.
Dollymount were 2 down early in the second half but battled on to get back into the game and with just over 10 minutes to go, Quinner broke through and finished calmly with the Glasnaoin defence chasing and the keeper coming out to block his angle.
Glasnaoin got a penalty when Steve Redmond handled the ball, clearing it off the line. Straight Red for Steve.
Glasnaoin also got another peno when Glenn made an excellent tackle in the box, with only the ref seeing it as a foul, as the Glasnaoin players weren't looking for a thing.
So at 80 minutes its 2-1 and chasing a result, to 7-1 after 90.

A big improvement on the first match performance.
Dollymount ran out deserved winners, only a last minute conceded goal taking the shine off the score line.
A fine hat-trick from Darren Flood (Floodser) who only signed on Monday. First, a 20 metre free with the out side of his right boot. The second, catching the ball on the volley on the edge of the box giving the keeper no chance. third sealed the game in the second half making it 3-1. The whole team played very well, with a lot of commitment. The star performer was Glenn in the defence, who also helped push the team forward.
